At Analgesia, we bring together multiple medical specialties under one vision: delivering exceptional care without pain or discomfort.
An OB/GYN is a doctor who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, which covers pregnancy, childbirth and the female reproductive system. This area of medicine serves the entire lifecycle of women and involves diagnostic procedures, surgeries and various other treatments.
A digestive surgeon is a specialist who, after receiving additional education and training, acquires knowledge and skills in the field of digestive disorder surgery to commercialize prevention, therapy, and the restoration of health in patients with digestive system disorders or anomalies.
Our specialists diagnose and treat bone, joint, and muscle conditions, ensuring faster healing and improved mobility.
Orthopedic specialists are medical providers who specialize in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases and injuries that affect the musculoskeletal system. They treat a wide variety of conditions, including but not limited to the following:
Reconstructive and aesthetic surgeries, helping patients restore function, confidence, and well-being.
A neurologist is a medical doctor who specializes in treating diseases of the nervous system. The nervous system is made of two parts: the central and peripheral nervous system. After completing medical school, healthcare providers specializing in adult neurology complete 1 year of residency in internal medicine and 3 years of neurology residency.
A neurosurgery specialist, also known as a brain surgeon, is a medical doctor who specializes in the surgical treatment and management of conditions that affect the brain, spine and nervous system. Neurosurgeons must complete specialist training in neurosurgery, which can take between 5 and 9 years. They are specifically trained and certified in the use of surgical treatments, whereas neurologists focus on other forms of treatment.
An oral surgeon, also known as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, is a dental specialist trained to perform complex surgical procedures involving the mouth, teeth, jaws, and face.
The specialty of general and digestive system surgery treats pathologies that mainly affect the digestive system, the endocrine system, the abdominal wall, the soft tissues and the skin of any area of the body. It deals with the prevention, diagnosis and surgical treatment of these diseases.
While a gastroenterologist diagnoses and treats diseases involving all components of the digestive tract, the liver being just one, a hepatologist‘s focus is limited to only the liver and the bile ducts.
“I would not have made it, if it weren’t for my rehab team.”
“Rehabilitation was harder than I expected, but I’m grateful to resume my lifestyle once again.”
“They have been so good to me, I’m so glad they helped me.”
One-on-one treatments without the use of gym equipment, thus fully utilizing the hands on time with the therapist and ensuring greater homecare outcomes.
Osteopathy is a primary healthcare profession, governed by statutory law, to provide the highest quality care for patients in the treatment of their muscular and joint pains. It is a hands-on therapy which uses a system of diagnosis and treatment with the emphasis being on helping the body heal itself.
The first appointment consists of a case history which involves asking you questions about your medical history, lifestyle, and the symptoms you are currently experiencing.
Osteopaths work with their hands, and treatment often consists of a combination of techniques such as:
Rhythmic articulation and joint manipulation (clicking) to restore joint mobility
Massage and pumping to improve fluid dynamics to restore tissue health
Myo-fascial stretching to restore normal tissue length and structure
Ideally, we like to be able to see the area we are treating and the surrounding tissues so that we can deliver an effective and safe treatment. In most cases, if we are treating the upper back in women a strappy vest top or sports bra will allow us to treat effectively. If treating the lower half of the body, exercise shorts can be worn. If you do not want to undress, then talk to the osteopath and we can work around the issue. Your modesty will always be respected.
Occasionally, you may find some techniques uncomfortable, but we will always ask for feedback during treatment and will work within your comfort zone. After your treatment you may experience soreness or tenderness in the area that was treated, however this usually subsides within 24-48 hours. If you are concerned after your treatment, please call the clinic and we can offer more advice.
